After Breakfast transfer to World famous Cave temple in Dambulla. Dambulla Viharaya contains an abundance of valuable material from the very earliest times till the late eighteenth century and shows the evolution of Singhalese Buddhist art. Transfer to Ancient Kingdom Polonnaruwa around with lot of ruins. Sri Lankan kings ruled the island from the 8th century until 1310 CE from Polonnaruwa kingdom. Polonnaruwa was the fifth administrative centre of Rajarata.

After breakfast Climb the citadel of Sigiriya which was built in the 5th century. Sigiriya is treated as one of the most remarkable creations in the world, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). Path through the gardens along Stone stairways come to the Lion Gate.

Proceed to UENESCO world heritage site Dambulla. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding and the paintings are done on the ceiling. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues 3 statues of Sri Lankan kings and 4 statues of god and goddess.
On the way to Kandy you can visit the spice garden to see different spices for which Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be able to see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Witness Cookery demonstrations as well; After that you will be visit temple of scared tooth relic there after witness a cultural show (Kandy dance) in the evening.

HORTON PLAINS NATIONAL PARK, Sri Lanka is undoubtedly one of the world's best nature reserves and eco-tourism venues. Spanning approximately 10,000 hectares the park is also home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Horton Plains was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 30th July 2010. The escarpment with a depth of 900 meters called World’s End and Baker’s Falls are the highlights of the Horton Plains.

This viaduct was built at Gotuwala between the two railway stations- Ella and Demodara during the British Colonial period is the largest in Sri Lanka. Located almost 3100 feet above the sea level, this 99.6 ft high bridge is called “AhasNamayePalama” (Nine Skies Bridge) in Sinhala.

The Demodara Railway line is a well-known masterpiece of engineering feat. From the station, the railway line winds its way and comes directly under the station through the tunnel which has been excavated inside a mountain.
It is said that the idea of the loop was a sudden inspiration that occurred to the engineers who masterminded the railway line, when they observed the Kangany who was supervising the workers, undo his “talappa” (head gear) and re-tie it round his head.
